Living and Praying Each Day According to the Days of Creation – Day 1

Day 1

1 When God began to create the heavens and the earth— 2 the earth was without shape or form, it was dark over the deep sea, and God’s Ruach swept over the waters— 3 God said, “Let there be light.” And so light appeared. 4 God saw how good the light was. God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God named the light Day and the darkness Night.
There was evening and there was morning: the first day.

The original Hebrew phrase for ‘and there was evening and there was morning, the first day’ is ‘Va-Ye’ee Erev Va-Ye’ee Voker Yom Echad.’ {ויהי ערב ויהי בוקר יום אחד}
According to one tradition, the origins of the Hebrew word for ‘evening’ – ‘Erev’ {ערב} – come from the old Hebrew verb ‘Le-Arev’ {לערב} which means ‘to mix’ or ‘to intermingle’ and refers to the special time of the day in which the sunset and light and darkness are ALL present and appear as a ‘mix.’
The Hebrew word for ‘morning’ is ‘Boker’ {בוקר} and it derives from the old Hebrew root B-K-R {ב-ק-ר} which means ‘to break through’, ‘ to penetrate’, ‘to crack’ and refers to the  special time of the day in which the light is ‘breaking through’ the darkness of the night.

John 1:1-51:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

A Prayer for the Light of His Presence

Heavenly Father, We come before You with grateful hearts, asking for Your divine light to shine through us in every moment. May Your glorious light break through all darkness, dispelling fear, doubt, and confusion. Let Your light fill our hearts, our souls, and every part of our being. May it purify us, transform us, and make us whole. We ask that Your light enter our homes, our marriages, and our families, bringing peace, unity, and love. May Your light touch our children, guiding them in Your truth, and may it surround every member of our family, protecting them with Your grace. We pray that Your light illuminates all that we do—our work, our finances, and everything we lay our hands on. Bless the labor of our hands, and may Your light lead us to prosperity, success, and fulfillment in all that we endeavor. Above all, Father, let Your light make us complete, so that we may become a reflection of Your love and truth. May we shine Your light to all we encounter today and forevermore, bringing hope and encouragement to those around us.

In the name of Yeshua we pray.
Amen.
